Update v.2602.06.2035: Guide Lines and Tool Improvements

We’re introducing a major CoverLab.pro update with a new guide lines system and numerous tool improvements for roofing work. This update significantly simplifies and speeds up the process of creating accurate drawings!
What’s New?
🎯 Guide Lines System
The biggest feature in this update - a full-featured guide lines system for high-precision drawing:
Creating guides:
- Drag guides from edges of polygons, cutouts, and even from other guides
- Hold Shift when hovering over an edge to highlight it and create a guide
Precise positioning:
- Enter distance from keyboard when dragging a guide
- Distance displays near cursor in real-time
- Cursor snaps to guides when drawing and editing
Management:
- Separate toggle button to show/hide guides
- Context menu (right-click) to delete individual guides
- Hover effect when pointing - thickened solid line
- Automatic guide saving
- Support for multiple guides bound to surfaces
📏 Improved Ruler
The ruler tool received significant improvements:
New functionality:
- Now works as a toggle tool - remains active until turned off
- Available even after layout calculation
- Support for measuring from cutout vertices
- Snapping to guide lines
Fixes:
- Fixed hotkey conflict with Ctrl+R for page reload
- Vertex control points no longer block ruler clicks
- Proper operation in all modes (drawing, editing, view)
✏️ Drawing Mode Improvements
Hotkey D - quick switch to drawing mode
New capabilities:
- First polygon point visualization with a circle for closing accuracy
- First point snapping to grid and other elements
- Cursor snapping to guides when drawing
- Precise distance input from keyboard for cutout vertices
- Size display near cursor
Safety:
- Drawing mode disabled after polygon completion (avoiding accidental changes)
🔧 Editing Mode Improvements
Hotkey E - quick switch to editing mode
New capabilities:
- Cursor changes to “move” when hovering over vertices
- Guide and edge highlighting only with Shift pressed (reduced visual noise)
- Snap to guide lines when moving polygon and cutout vertices
📐 Layout Fixes
Fixed important layout calculation bugs:
Waste calculation:
- Edge regions now considered when calculating sheet-polygon intersection area
- More accurate material waste percentage calculation
Layout offset:
- Fixed maximum offset - layout now fits to right edge without extra columns
- Optimal surface space utilization
Visualization:
- Wave grid restoration after sheet deletion or movement
- Fixed layout sheet selection
🎨 Interface Improvements
Navigation:
- “Blog” section renamed to “News” in all languages (UA/RU/EN)
Surface list:
- Smoother surface sorting by dragging
- Added margins between cards for better readability
Blog design:
- Improved cover aspect ratio (21:14)
- New layout: first 2 articles at 50% width, rest at 33.33%
- Title, date and description moved above article block for better structure
